Our Story

Big Skies was founded by two lads (Owen & Ollie) hailing from one of those dreary provincial English towns. First they bonded over a love of live music and football, you know the usual stuff, and then later by a hatred of the declining quality and rising prices of their once beloved clothing brands (looking at you Carhartt and Dickies). It was on this slightly more unusual bonding point that Big Skies was founded. 

As they recall, the conversation went a little like this…

"I reckon we can provide hardwearing apparel at an affordable price. Sure, we won’t make much money, but at least people won’t be paying 50 quid for a t-shirt that falls apart in the first wash (looking at you Carhartt and Dickies).'

We now spend our time designing our own products under the Big Skies label, and sourcing pieces from like-minded independent brands to sell in our store.
